Supporting a cause close to our hearts
For many years, Susan’s Work Basket has proudly supported the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity that means a great deal to us and many of our customers.
Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our wonderful community, we have raised thousands of pounds through creative fundraising events, in-store donations, and handcrafted raffles.
Our fundraising journey
Over the years, we’ve organised a variety of raffles featuring unique, handmade knitted and crocheted creations. Each piece is lovingly crafted and has helped bring our community together for a great cause.

The Giant Labubu-Inspired Crocheted Monster (2025)
A true showstopper! This eye-catching creature was crocheted using King Cole Jumbo Toastie and King Cole Yummy Chunky, perfectly timed with the Labubu trend.
The excitement around this raffle was incredible, with many hopeful entrants eager to take him home.
The lucky winner plans to enjoy him before raffling him again for another charity—spreading the goodwill even further.

The Giant Knitted Sloth (2020)
Originally adapted from a smaller pattern, this charming sloth was created for the Attleborough Christmas Window Competition (2019) before being raffled shortly after.
With sloths being hugely popular at the time, it captured lots of attention and support from our customers.
